Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of pointsmart.app (the "Service"), operated by MFlash, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What the Service does
PointSmart is an informational tool that helps you compare flights and hotels for a trip you're planning and shows you how many credit-card points you would earn (or spend) on the purchase, based on the cards and balances you provide. The Service does not sell tickets, does not act as a travel agent, and does not issue credit cards. Actual bookings happen on third-party websites (Booking.com, an airline, etc.) under those websites' terms.
2. Accuracy of information
The Service displays prices, availability, point earn-rates, point valuations, redemption values, and welcome bonuses sourced from third parties (Duffel, the public terms of credit-card issuers, and our own editorial judgment for bonus listings). We make a reasonable effort to keep this information accurate, but we do not warrant that it is current, complete, or correct for your specific situation.
Always verify pricing, availability, card terms, and welcome bonuses on the official partner or issuer website before completing a transaction. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional financial or travel advice.
3. Points valuations are estimates
When the Service tells you a redemption is worth a certain cents-per-point or that a given card would have earned $X in points, those are illustrative estimates using common transfer-value heuristics. Actual realized value depends on award availability, the route, the cabin, the date, the loyalty program's pricing, and other factors outside our control.
4. Affiliate relationships
Some outbound links contain affiliate identifiers so partners can attribute traffic to us and pay a commission. We may earn money when you click through and book, or when you apply for and are approved for a credit card. This is fully disclosed in our Advertiser Disclosure. We commit to the principle that affiliate revenue does not influence which card or redemption strategy the app recommends — recommendations are derived from each card's published earn rate and your trip math.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape the Service or its underlying API endpoints in a way that overloads them.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer paid third-party APIs we proxy on your behalf.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Misrepresent the Service or its content (e.g. re-publish our outputs as your own editorial product).
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any prices, point values, or bonuses shown are current or correct.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will MFlash, Inc. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or savings (including missed sign-up bonuses, missed redemption value, or worse-priced bookings) arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to USD $50.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MFlash, Inc. and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
9. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature of it at any time without notice. We are not liable to you for any such change.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version is effective when posted. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
